Theme: The sculpture is based on the theme Remembrance ‘71, one of Hamiduzzaman Khan’s well-known series of works, which he started in late-1970s. The sculpture is based on the Bangladesh War of Liberation, depicting the indescribable suffering of the Bangladeshi people caused by the Pakistani military. It shows a rickshaw on which the corpses of the passenger and the rickshaw-puller are lying unattended.
