Galleri Kaya organised a group art exhibition, featuring watercolours of twenty-two veteran and promising Bangladeshi artists. The participating artists include Murtaja Baseer, Hashem Khan, Rafiqun Nabi, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Ratan Mojumder, Kazi Rakib, Ranjit Das and others. A large number of paintings at the exhibition demonstrated the splendour of nature, serene environments, riverine lives, cloudy skies and pastoral areas. Most of the artists’ techniques were predominantly based on soft wash and thin hues. They tried to control the medium with their personal techniques. Some paintings highlighted seasonal changes, tranquil landscapes, sailing boats, blossoming flowers, ponds and mustard fields. Some of the watercolours were connected to humans’ affection, ecstasy, anguish and isolation. Some were centred upon mysticism, harmony, melancholy or despair.
