Dhaka Watercolour Academy organised a group exhibition at Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. The exhibition showcased watercolours of veteran and budding artists. A number of noted artists took part with their outstanding artworks. The veteran artists included Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Monirul Islam, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Biren Shome, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Alokesh Ghosh, Ranjit Das, Mohammad Eunus, Jamal Ahmed, Kanak Chanpa Chakma and Goutam Chakraborty. 

The watercolours of Hamiduzzaman Khan, displayed at the exhibition, were done on the theme of natural landscape and essence of nature. Celebration of colours and lines created emotional and psychological depth in his works. His watercolours seemed to be a flowing stream. He tried to capture the mystery of nature and its different phases. His semi-abstraction of landscape, and the transparency of the watercolour technique, enhanced his use of the background as a romantic view.
